< Personal History >
As a child, he loved motorcycles and cars, and was also influenced by his father who worked with vehicle parts. He went to a local high school and took a course in mechanical engineering. He entered a post-secondary university, learning about automobile mechanics, and managed to pass the national qualification to become a Grade 2 Automobile Mechanic. At the height of the Bubble period, he worked at Toyo Pet Co. located in Nagoya. In his 4th year at the company, through the training from his superior, he made strenuous efforts to learn as much as possible about cars and maintenance. In his 5th year, at the end of completing his training, he received the highest award for Toyota engineers: the Grade 1 Toyota Official Certification. In the 9th year, he became the engineering leader. As years passed by, he began to think about making his own business, and after 16 years of work at Toyo Pet he resigned. Drawn by the phrase “leaving you to be the boss”, he moved into the private venture business as a car maker. He worked as a leader in the manufacturing department. Sales and the range both grew, and after experiencing the growth period of the company, he took an independent path. In 2011, with a coworker from his previous company at Toyo Pet, Mr. Kobayashi, he established EV TOYOHASHI Co. The main business was the production of electric cars, car maintenance, legal inspections, car inspections, and EV maintenance. In 2017, after the creation of a new category of ‘customizable car’, they started DESIMA JAPAN, which has continued right up to present.
